Thanks for a Great Holland Hundred!

Hey Everyone!

Just wanted to thank any and every club member that helped us achieve the biggest and best Holland 100 ever! The weather co-operated, the new venue was awesome (thank you Herman Miller!), the JDRF connection was a real asset and the 1250-1300 riders was our biggest ride to date. At the start/finish all day I got approximately 98% positive if not glowing commments and lots of “see you next year” and the like.

Great coverage in yesterday’s Holland Sentinel too!

So - if you had anything to do w/ putting on the ride…………..thank you! (If not - you’re up next year!)

Watch for a final re-cap on the club’s website as soon as the HH Commiittee can get together to go over the numbers and de-brief. Right this second we’re still basking in the glory of being done for 2009 and tryin’ to recover!

Ride on!

I did the century ride and found the route to be great. A nice variance of countryside from farmlands, to small lakeside, to Lake Michigan. The stretch through Saugatuck was a bit hair raising, the stop and go traffic not lending itself well for clip pedals, but it’s a quaint little town and I liked riding through an environment that resembles the bicycle better than other, larger towns. I took some pictures on the way, though they end after the pancake stop, when I was concentrating more on the ride and less on the surroundings. I do look forward to next year’s version.
