March Club Meeting - Send Us Your Questions!
February 16th, 2009 8:17 pm
Hello all MCC’ers. Winter is upon us but spring will soon be here. Whether your spinning in a local shop, gym, or cross country skiing, I hope you have the 2009 season in your legs, or you’re at least getting there.
Our March meeting will be focusing giving you the answer for questions you never dared to ask. Everyone has a question, thought or observation from our world of cycling, though they might be a little shy in asking a fellow rider for many reasons. We want to answer those questions.
Here are some examples are ready given.
Do you wear anything under your riding shorts?
Why do professional cyclists shave their legs?
What are some “rules” for riding in a group?
Is Campy really the best groupo on the market?
What’s an echelon and how does it work in a group ride?
What’s the meaning of cycling and our existence on Earth? (we might defer that one for a while)
When did MCC get started?
I understand the Yellow jersey in the Tour de France, but what’s the polka dot and green ones for?
Why are Mountain bikes sized in inches while road are in centimeters?
We want more questions from you…whether you’re new to cycling or have many years in the saddle, knowledge is king and every bit helps.
Please e-mail any question to: mmichmerhuizen@charter.net
All questions will be confidential unless noted otherwise.
Within this Q&A session our meeting will also focus on group riding;
- Specifically signals to know and when to give them
- Etiquette for riding
- How to safely ride in groups
- Aero bars while riding in groups
- Single pace lines versus double pace line, and when we can safely use them
- Your questions
Thanks,
Marshall Michmerhuizen
