Well, it comes to this. To the swift goes the prize, and the setting sun, so thus the last MNR for 2007 is here. The weather should be great for the last one and we hope to see you there to send off the ride in style. Heading east on 24th through Overisel and south to 139th and back to 56th. 20 miles approx.
6:00 pm on the dot at the Aquatic Center. A’s B’s and C’s…?
Our next monthly club meeting is Tuesday 11/6/2007. Meetings are from 8:00pm-9:00(ish). What’s different this month is the location. We’ll be meeting @ the Hope College Exercise Science Laboratory in the Devos Fieldhouse.
The guest speaker will be Kevin Cole, a professor in Hope’s Kinesiology Department and the Head Track and Field Coach. He has Ph.D in Human Bioenergetics from Ball State and has done considerable research on the topics of the aging of Olympic atheletes, the effects of caffeine, sport drink formulation, exercise performance and the effects of weightlessness on the muscle characteristics of space shuttle astronauts. In short… the dude knows his way around the human body! He’s an avid runner and cyclist and “occasional triathlete”.
The program is still being “developed” but more than likely will focus on Anarobic and Aerobic Testing of Athletes. There will likely be a couple of VO2 Max tests adminstered to volunteers and various other tests and then a discussion of the results and how regular riders can use them.
Don’t miss it!

And then there were three! Three more Monday Night Rides. The route is still the same for tomorrow… out on 24th through Overisel, almost getting to Benthiem and back on 138th, 139th, and 140th to 56th (Lincoln Ave).
Start time: 6:00 pm A and B groups. Most likely C’s will ride a slightly a shorter route.

The Sweet Roll ride has rolled out of town for the year!
Tom, Ron, and Krisanne wish to thank all those who joined them on this fantastic and well attended ride, and they look forward to the Sweet Roll Ride returning in 2008.
Our monthly club meeting is tomorrow night - Tuesday 10/2/2007. Meetings are from 8:00pm-9:00(ish) and are held at the Macatawa Greenway’s new offices.
The new location is at 455 East 8th Street - across from the Hart and Cooley plant in the old grade school, currently Driesenga Assoc. survey company. The Greenway is using one of the old class rooms as offices. Please use the door on the east side of the building off of Walnut street.
Agenda:
Learn All About Cyclocross at this Tuesday’s MCC Club Meeting!
This month our very own Mike Clark will be covering the fast growing sport of cyclocross. Mike will go over the equipment used, how the races are conducted, what skills are needed…in other words, all things that are cyclocross. Fall is prime time for getting involved in this sport. It’s also a great way to extend your season once the weather starts getting a little chilly and wet. See you Tuesday Night!
