Later today all club members that provided an email address at the time they joined will receive an email from webmaster@macatawacyclingclub.org titled “Registration Info for MCC - 2007/2008 Club Election”. Inside this email will be instructions and a link to vote in this years club election. The election is open today through June 1st. Please take 5 minutes, open the email, and cast your vote today.
[UPDATE - 12:00 Noon:  The voting site we are using to conduct the election has duplicated the registration emails various numbers of times to different members. We apologize for this inbox inconvenience.  You can safely delete all but one of the emails to perform your voting. -Randy]Â
Any club members that did not provide an email, at the time they joined, will receive a paper ballot in the mail. The paper ballot will go out in the mail today or tomorrow.
All voting (electronic and paper) must be received by June 1st, 2007 in order to be counted in the final tally.

Here are the agenda’s for the next 3 monthly MCC club meetings in June, July, and August.Â
June 5th - In an attempt to accomodate our friends w/ the city, we are gonna devote (most of) the entire June meeting to a discussion w/ the guys from the City Planning Department. They’re lookin’ for input from us on the Holland’s Master Transportation Plan, proposed bike routes and the installation of “Share the Road” signs. Obviously a golden opportunity for us to advance our opinions!
Also… local cyclist (and member) Ed Speyers will have a short presentation on his upcoming transcontinental ride and the cause he’s undertaking as part of the ride.
July 3rd - Krisanne Chapin of the Motion Analysis Center @ Mary Freebed Rehabilitaion Hospital (and MCC’s own!) on the “Introduction to the Biomechanics of Cycling. Which Muscles Fire When, and Why?”
August 7th - A.D.Rosa from the Bio-Correct Lab in GR on thre benefits of custom footbeds for cyclists and other athletes.
Meetings are from 8:00pm-9:00(ish) and are held at the Macatawa Greenway building located at 112 E. 7th Street, Holland, MI 49423.
Input and ideas as to other topics you’d like to see should be addressed to mike AT velo-citycycles dotCom.
The Macatawa Cycling Club will be holding elections for our various officer and board positions for the 2007/2008 club year. The club elections will be taking place later this month. This year the elections will be conducted electronically online. The goal of moving the election online is to offer the ability to vote to all MCC members and not just those that are able to attend the monthly MCC meetings.
Over the next two weeks we are asking those who are interested in serving the club as officers or board members to step forward and “throw their hat into the ring.” In addition to the offices of club President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer there are also four board positions available. The board positions assist the officers by sharing the overall club leadership workload. If you are interested in one of these club leadership positions, respond to this posting by clicking on the “Comments” link below (in the lower right) by no later than May 18th to place your name on the e-ballot. A separate e-mail will be sent out soon providing dates and details regarding the actual club election. Marshall Michmerhuizen
MCC Club President Â
