This morning I moved the location of the MCC Forum from /forum to /mccforum.  This was done in an effort to further reduce the amount of bogus accounts and inappropriate posts from automated posting robots.

If you have a desktop shortcut or booksmark that directly opens the Forum.  You will need to update it to the new location, which is http://macatawacyclingclub.org/mccforum/

Attempts to go to the old URL will be redirected to the MCC Homepage.

Are you a member of a local health club or are thinking about joining one?  MCC is working with several clubs with the chance for MCC members to save on monthly dues and initial fees.  We haven’t decided which health clubs to join with and we need your help.

If you are currently a member of one or are thinking of joining one, please let us know (info@macatawacyclingclub.org).  This will narrow the field of clubs down and maybe single one specific club out for MCC to work with.  The savings for MCC members could be very good.

A big thanks to Mike Mortorff in gathering the information and putting together details to make this benefit close to becoming a reality.

November 26th is our end of year party and cyclocross race.  MCC is hosting the last of the Kisscross races at Ridge Point Church.  Race registration and food will all be held in the Big Red Barn on 16th street.  Parking is available across the street.  The first race is at 12:00 noon, and the second at 1:00 pm.
 
MCC plans on serving chili or soups at this race.  Let Marshall know if you are interested in bringing something.   Thanks to those who have already committed to helping.
 
We are still taking suggestions for awards at the party.  E-mail the name or names of members who you would like to be recognized for their work this year.
 
PLEASE, PLEASE use the under the bridge walkway to cross to the south side of 16th Street.  16th Street is a busy 5 lane road with NO cross walk.

VOTE! and then join MCC in our monthly meeting on Tuesday night to talk about cycling and upcoming events.  8:00PM at the Macatawa Greenway offices on 7th street in downtown Holland.

Fellow local cyclist - Terry Bandstra is organizing a group of West Michigan Cyclists to attend the Alabama Cycling Camp in Ramer, Alabama.  The tenative date for the training camp is from February 17, 2006 through February 24, 2007.  By organizing a local group to attend together each rider will receive a $100 discount off the normal price; bringing the cost down to $500 per rider for the week.
